Taoglas Opens OTA Test Chambers for M2M Antenna Services

CTIA-Approved Test Chambers Help Taoglas Customers Bring Products to Market Quicker, Cheaper with Less Risk

CTIA - Florida  March / 2011 - Taoglas Limited, the leading provider of antenna solutions to the M2M market, today officially opened two purpose-built, advanced antenna and device RF optimization test labs in the USA and Ireland. In Miramar, San Diego, Taoglas opened a CTIA-approved Howland OTA (over the air) 700Mhz to 10GHz test chamber, and in Ireland a 12 metre 450MHz to 10 GHz ETS Lindgren tapered anechoic chamber. Both facilities provide valuable services enabling M2M manufacturers, not only to design and test antenna solutions for M2M devices all with one company, but to avail of pre-certification OTA (efficiency/radiation patterns/TRP/TIS) testing for PTCRB and USA network requirements.

The new M2M RF lab facility in Ireland is the only one of it?s kind in Europe and will provide the same service to M2M customers worldwide. The Irish lab also co-ordinates with European Union-funded R&D projects for LTE. M2M manufacturers now benefit from a designated location, for antenna design and RF debug testing that cuts down on design time, increases performance of products, makes sure devices are ready for certification and maximizes chances of first-time approval with quicker time to market.

The end result is getting products to market quicker, cheaper, with less risk, and most importantly making our customers number one in their markets with optimized performance."
